WE ARE ABLE TO GO UP AND TAKE THE MOUNTAIN - Darlington Nwabunike

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS AT 2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) OF DE IMPERIAL PHILANTHROPIC FAMILY.

The Founder,

DE IMPERIAL..... ONE FAMILY

DE IMPERIAL..... ONE FAMILY

Esteemed Chancellor,

DE IMPERIAL ..... LIVING FOR HUMANITY

A HUMANITARIAN HEART CRY".

Dutiful and Dedicated Executive Commitee Members,

Celebrated Commanders,

De Imperial Ambassador,

Indeftiagable Chief Priest,

Distingushed members of the Presidential Advisory Council

Most respected Hon members of De Imperial Philanthropic Family

It gives me great joy to welcome you to the 3rd Annual General meeting of our noble

organization, DE IMPERIAL PHILANTHROPIC FAMILY (DIPF).

As always, I remain eternally thankful to the Almighty God, by whose unquantifiable

Grace and Beneficence, we have gained sterling tractions and enviable visibility, locally and in the Diaspora, through verifiable Humanitarian in-roads, across South East Nigeria.

I am, also, to thank God for our families who, oftentimes, bear the burden of our busy and strenuous schedules and activities. The uniqueness of our organization, sets us apart, and compels us, constantly, to discover situations and locations needing Humanitarian interventions.

My brothers, as I welcome you to this Annual General Meeting (AGM), it is my earnest

prayer that, we cast our minds, retrospectively, back to our previous Annual General (and Extraordinary) Sessions, with a view to fully aggregating our Triumphs and Trials.

From inception, we have been clear and unambiguous about our vision, mission and intentional expectations.

To the glory of God, and through your collective buy-in and generous contribution so much has been achieved. Our dear organization -DE IMPERIAL PHILANTHROPIC

FAMILY (DIPF) has become a prized pendant, attracting suitors, from across prominent profiles and jurisdictions.

It is, even more ennobling, that, we have kept faith with our clearly articulated mission, inspite of the seeming unending economic Tupsy Turvy" in Nigeria.

Streaks of Data, emanating from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reel out uninspiring realities, to wit, Double-Digit Inflation, Spiraling Cost of Food Items, Spike in our National Debt Obligations. Dwindling Crude Oil Production, occasioned by Pipeline

Vandalization and Illegal Oil Bunkering, Worsening State of Social Infrastructure (Road,

Power, etc) leading to outrageous cost of doing business.

Consequently, Businesses are packing up and relocating to neighbouring countries;

unemployment is on an all-time high (over 42%) crime and criminality (kidnapping- for-ransome, Advanced Fee Fraud, Internet Fraud, Armed Robbery, Thuggery, Prostitution,

Child Trafficking, Cultism, Smuggling, Drug Abuse, etc) are all-too- visible, across theentire nation. Dear friends, as international Businessmen, you know the collateral implication of being a consumer-nation, with almost Zero-productive template, thereby heaving crushing, negative weight on the Naira, relative to international currencies, particularly, the Dollar. I am saying that, the political leadership should, as a matter of National Emergency, re-jig the entire Economic and Financial Value-chain, with a view

to, urgently, steering our ship of state from clear and present danger. To achieve this, the age-long demon of Nepotism, cronyism, cartel- Domination, Oligarchy, mediocrity and senseless “citizen-unfriendly "policies, should be exorcised. The Nigerian situation is, simply, scary, stark and sobering. Nevertheless, we are not fazed. Our God is on the

throne. He shall, always, make a way for His own.

My brothers, it is very heartwarming and energizing that, in the midst of our National

"basket of challenges" we have, stridently soldiered on, breaking new grounds and

touching lives, strategically, across south-east Nigeria. As your president, I am proud to

report that, on the 27th of January 2023, we executed Humanitarian and Interventions,in the Flood Ravaged Communities of Orsu Obodo and Izombe (Imo State). Our organization engaged with the people, through Palliatives and Physical Reconstruction,

Worth Millions of Naira.

Also, within the year under review, precisely on the 20th of September, 2023, we,at Plenary, passed our Constitution, as a Working Document, which shall be availed to distinguished members, in the course of this Annual General Meeting (AGM). Our noble organization has, within the year, acquired 3ooo Square meters of Land, through EXOMOZEL LIMITED, at THE IMPERIAL CITY, Eleguishi, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

This acquisition speaks to the prudent management of our organization's Resources. I report, also, the establishment of the lMPERIAL INVESTMENT LIMITED, as the Business and Investment Arm of our Organization.

Within the year, we inaugurated the PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORY COUNCIL, in Uyo Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, in a bid to widen consultations, for the sustained Development of our organization. The landmark inauguration took place on the 3oth of June, 2023.

Dear brothers, we have concluded the process of CERTIFICATION OF MEMBERS,consequent upon which members, at this AGM, shall receive their Certificates and ldentity Cards.I report, also, that, we are in the final stage of procuring a befitting DIPF CORPORATE

SECRETARIAT which, God willing, shall be commissioned soon.

In the spirit of our profound gratitude to the harbinger of the seed, that has sprouted,to become an Iroko, called DE IMPERIAL PHILANTHROPIC FAMILY (DIPF), we have honoured our founder, Chief lzunna Emesim, Okwumere Eze N' Ukpor, by gifting him with a befitting property, in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, with additional monetary provision.

It is, also, instructive to report that, throughout the year, we engaged in several social functions, as touching on our esteemed members, across the South-East. This laudable effort was executed, in the midst of obvious security challenges in the South-East.

The immediate positive outcome of this initiative is the strengthening of our bonding

as a family. This bonding, I promise you, shall be sustained.

CONCLUSION:

My dear brothers and esteemed members, so much has been accomplished. So much

is yet to be done. I am not resting on my oars. Like Oliver Twist, I will continue to ask,one and all, for more.We must not drop the ball, we must not lower the bar.

We must stay on those nuggets that bind us, as one.We must eschew bickering, divisive tendencies and unwholesome acts of disloyalty.

May, we always approach our internal conflict Resolution mechanisms (thankfully, our constitution is now up and running), should issues arise. As Humans, the Executive

Committee, Principal Officers and my humble self, are imperfect and imbued with inevitable frailties. We do not know it all. Help us with Meaningful Propositions and Constructive Criticisms. That way, together, we shall continue to LIVE FOR HUMANITY.

May, God bless our 3rd Annual General Meeting, as I, officially, declare it open

Thank you for your kind attention.

High Chief Dr. (Sir) Darlington Nwabunike

Ichie Eze Nwakaibeya Ogbabalu Aku N' Anwu Ojoto

President,

DE IMPERIAL PHILANTHROPIC FAMILY (DIPF)
